General warehouse and production roles typically pay in the mid-to-high $20s per hour. Pick packers and process workers usually start near the bottom of that band; experienced hands sit higher. Forklift operators with a current F endorsement typically earn in the high $20s to low $30s. Skilled machine operators can reach the low-to-mid $30s. Night shifts and weekends usually carry loadings on top.
Tickets: a current F endorsement is the single fastest pay rise in the sector. Reliability: workers with a clean attendance record get the better sites and the standing rosters. Food-safety experience: MPI-regulated sites pay for people who already know hygiene protocols. Flexibility: night and weekend availability opens the highest-paying shifts.
