The questions to ask before you sign: rates, vetting, replacement terms and response times.
Searching "best recruitment agency Auckland" returns a wall of near-identical promises. Here is a more useful approach: the six questions that separate a genuine partner from a CV-forwarding service, whoever you end up choosing.
You want specifics: identity and work-eligibility checks, licence and ticket verification, reference standards. Vague answers here become your problem on site.
Replacement terms should be plain: how fast, at whose cost, with what guarantee. Get it in writing.
If the answer is "leave a message," the agency doesn't match how your operation actually runs. Ask whether a person answers after hours, and whether that person will know your site.
Most agencies won't say. We think you should know roughly before anyone books a coffee, which is why our indicative rates are published.
Prequalification (Tōtika), Site Safe membership, ACC cover and induction process. On credentialed sites these are not optional.
If today's five labourers become next quarter's full site, can the agency add traffic management, drivers and the professional roles, or will you be managing five suppliers?
Ask those six of anyone, including us. The answers are on this website.
